A station is streaming but there is no audio. What is going on?

Although most internet radio station now stream for 24 hours, there are those that only stream during certain hours. Please check the station's website to see its broadcast schedule and do note its time zone.

How much bandwidth will I consume by playing an internet radio stream?

A 64kbps stream will consume approximately 27MB an hour and a 128kbps stream approximately 54MB an hour. Based usages of 2hr a day for 30days, a 64kbps stream will consume approximately 1.6GB and a 128kbps stream approximately 3.2GB of data a month respectively. Please check your Internet plan to ensure you have sufficient data.

How can I get my internet radio station to be on miRoamer?

Please email content@miRoamer.com with your station details and kindly include the following information:

  2. Location (Country, State, City)
  3. Website Address
  4. Streaming URL
  5. Genre
  6. Language

Can I listen to miRoamer on my mobile phone?

Yes you can! Very soon, miRoamer is going to launch the miRoamer application for both the Apple iPhone and the Blackberry mobile device. Stay tuned for more information on launch dates.

I have an internet radio device, how can I get miRoamer onto it?

A. miRoamer aims to be on as many devices as possible, please email your device manufacturer to request for the inclusion of miRoamer's content onto your device.

What is an 'Internet Only' station?

An 'Internet Only' station is a radio station that is available only through the internet. This is different to a terrestrial radio station to which is most common in most homes and cars.

How do I find information about my error messages?

Please provide a detailed description of your error message to technical@miRoamer.com and we will try our best to help.

The audio is constantly pausing and skipping. What is wrong?

Verify that you have the necessary bandwidth to stream the radio station. Often present is a stream with a lower bit rate that requires less bandwidth. Sometimes a stream could be buffering and this is temporary and should start playing once the required buffer is achieved.

What plugins does the miRoamer web player use?

It uses Windows Media Player, Real, and VLC plugin. To ensure that you have the best streaming experience possible, we encourage you to download all three plugins.
